Aircraft operations may generate louder-than-normal noise in the Lakehurst and Manchester Township areas, the base said.

JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST -- The Lakehurst side of the joint base will be the site of aircraft operations from now until August, which may cause residents in the area to hear louder-than-normal noise, the base said.

The aircraft operations may generate louder-than-normal noise specifically in the Lakehurst and Manchester Township areas, the base said.

During this time, the joint base community and residents of the surrounding areas may experience ground shaking, as well as noise.

The noises may travel farther during overcast weather conditions.

The base routinely issues the advisories when military operations and training exercises could cause noise to base neighbors.

The base said in a statement that the training is essential for military readiness and base officials routinely work to minimize the impact it has on its surrounding communities.
