TRENTON - An apartment fire displaced multiple people - including one family - from their homes early Saturday.
Firefighters were called to the apartment on the 900 block of South Broad Street around 12:45 a.m. Saturday after a fire broke out in the 3rd floor apartment, according to firefighters.
Residents in the apartments on all three floors were able to get out in time and no one was injured in the fire, which was deemed accidental.
Firefighters have not determined a cause but said the fire started in a kitchen in the 3rd floor apartment.
By the time firefighters were able to get the flames under control around 1:30 a.m. and clear the scene around 3 a.m., the building was no longer inhabitable, according to the fire department.
Multiple people were displaced from all three apartments and have since found other housing, according to firefighters.
