TRENTON - A Trenton man was arrested and charged with arson in a blaze that charred two abandoned houses last week, police said.
Shaw Williams, 52, was arrested on outstanding warrants on Saturday and charged Sunday with arson in connection with a fire on the 100 block of North Stockton Street, Lt. Stephen Varn said.
Arson was suspected in Thursday's fire, which heavily damaged the first floor of one house and caused moderate fire, smoke and water damage to an adjacent house around 11:50 p.m. Thursday, police said.
Detective Gregory Hollo's investigation led to the charges for Williams, Varn said.
