UPDATE: Air quality at Steinert auditorium safe, ceiling problems persist
HAMILTON -- Steinert High School's production of Bye Bye Birdie was canceled Wednesday, the day before the beginning of four performances, the Hamilton superintendent of school's office said.

The superintendent's office would not discuss the reasons for the sudden cancelation, but said the superintendent would release more information later Wednesday.
The musical's first performance was scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. Thursday and continue with shows through Saturday evening.
Steinert High School administrators will make an announcement at the school about the district's decision Wednesday afternoon, according to the superintendent's office.
