BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP -- Two firefighters were injured and a family was displaced when a fire damaged their Wilson Avenue home Sunday afternoon, officials said.
Bordentown's Mission Fire Company was called to 15 Wilson Ave. just before 1 p.m. Sunday, Deputy Chief Steve Scholy said. The fire mainly damaged the second floor, he said.
Scholy said two firefighters suffered minor burns during the fire which took an hour to bring under control. The firefighters were treated at a local hospital and released.
The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced family, Scholy said. He said the home suffered major damages and was deemed inhabitable.
The fire is under investigation by the Mission Fire Company's Fire Marshal Office, Scholy said.
