The teen was allegedly driving a stolen car and had eluded police in another Burlington County town moments earlier.
MANSFIELD -- A Mansfield police officer pulled over and arrested a Trenton teenager who allegedly eluded Mount Holly police minutes earlier in a stolen car, police said.
Mansfield had been alerted to the Mount Holly incident this past Saturday, and at 11:23 p.m. an officers saw the vehicle driving north on Route 206, Mansfield police said Tuesday.
After confirming with a dispatcher that it was the stolen vehicle, the officer pulled the vehicle over on Route 68 near Nade Drive.
The driver, a 16-year-old male from Trenton, was arrested without incident, police said.
Mansfield police charged the teen with receiving stolen property and being an unlicensed driver.
Mount Holly police charged the underage driver with failing to stop for police and related motor vehicle violations, Mansfield police said.
After being booked, the teen was handed turned over to his mother and placed on house arrest pending a court appearance.
