Washington Crossing Estates were told on Friday to boil water as a precautionary measure
HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP -- Officials have lifted a boil-water advisory that was issued for Washington Crossing Estates residents following a water line break Friday.
The Hopewell Township Health Department announced Tuesday that testing showed the water quality to be safe after repairs were completed on the damaged line.
The township had told residents to boil water as a precautionary measure since low water pressure can allow contaminants in the system.
After receiving calls that some residents didn't get the notice, officials are urging residents to sign up for CodeRed so they can receive emergency notifications from the township in the future.
