Shop Hamilton website launches to promote locally-owned businesses

The Hamilton Partnership announces the launch of the new Shop Hamilton website at www.shophamiltonnj.com.

HAMILTON -- The Hamilton Partnership has launched a new Shop Hamilton website to serve as the primary resource for the township's buy local initiative.

The website www.shophamiltonnj.com includes a searchable directory of local businesses divided into shopping, dinning and services categories.

The site also offers specials that are available only on Tuesdays. Shoppers must mention "Shop Local Tuesday" when they visit the businesses to redeem the offers.

Studies have shown that purchases at independent, locally owned business strengthen the economic base of the community, according to the township announcement. Small local businesses are the largest employer nationally, according to the township.
