Chapin School's Limitless Futures Capital Campaign successfully raises over $8 million and funds completion of the ambitious multi-year, multi-million dollar building project.
LAWRENCE - The Chapin School in Lawrence unveiled last week a new two-story 14,000-square-foot middle school addition in the second phase of its multi-year construction project.
The new addition includes classrooms, a technology lab, offices and meeting rooms, school officials said.
"This is an extraordinary moment in the school's history, bringing significantly enhanced facilities for the Chapin students of today, and promising, limitless opportunities for the students of tomorrow," Head of School Pamela Fiander said in a statement.
The first phase of The Chapin School's construction project included an additional 13,000-square-feet of space for the lower school. The projects were funded by an $8 million campaign.
The latest building was unveiled in a ceremony on Sept. 8. The private school serves students in kindergarden through eighth grades.
"It's an immense honor to witness the opening of the new buildings, and to see students benefit from a state-of-the-art learning environment," Jamie Griswold, president of the Chapin Board of Trustees, said in a statement. "Coupled with the latest technologies and a first-class faculty, my daughter continues raving about how excited she is to go to school each day."
