A man was shot in the leg, but declined to give police any information about the shooting
TRENTON - A Trenton man was shot in the leg in a West Ward neighborhood Monday night, police said.
File photo of a Trenton Police vehicle (Michael Mancuso | The Times of Trenton) The 22-year-old man was shot once in the inner right calf on the 200 block of Prospect Street around 7:30 p.m., Lt . Stephen Varn said.
The man waved down police who were responding to a report of gunfire in the area, but he refused medical attention for the bullet wound that went through his right calf, Varn said.
Instead, he was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton in a private car.
The man also refused give police any information about the shooting, Varn said.
The incident is under investigation by the Shooting Response Team, Varn said.
