JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST -- A motorist was flown to a Trenton trauma center Monday evening from the scene of a one-vehicle crash on base, officials said.
Base first responders were dispatched to the area of a training range at the base at 5 p.m. Monday for a motor-vehicle crash and found a one-vehicle collision, Senior Airman Lauren Pitts, of the base public affairs office, said Tuesday.
The person was later flown to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, Pitts said.

Pitts said the crash occurred on a publicly-accessible area of the base.
Additional information about the motorist was not available Tuesday, and the cause of the crash was still under investigation, Pitts said.
