TRENTON - Police investigating gunfire in a Trenton neighborhood arrested and charged a man with possession of a stun gun, authorities said.
Walter Foley, 30, and another man were sitting in a parked car on the 100 block of Sanford Street just before 12 a.m. Sunday when Trenton police on patrol were investigating a call about gunfire in the area, Lt. Stephen Varn said.
Police asked Foley for his license. Foley said he did not have one, Varn said.
Police ordered Foley out of the car. He ran, Varn said.
Officers caught Foley on the 100 block of Old Rose Street. A search after his arrest found 10 grams of cocaine, $928 and 7 grams of marijuana, Varn said.
A stun gun was found in the map pocket of the driver's seat in the car Foley and the passenger, who fled, were sitting in, Varn said.
Foley was charged with weapons possession, drug possession and distribution charges, resisting arrest, obstruction, hindering and three outstanding warrants, according to police records.
Foley's cash bail was set at $50,000, according to police records.
