JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST -- The U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute demonstration team has been added to the roster of the joint base's air show this May.
The joint base announced on its Facebook page this weekend that the Golden Knights have been added to the "Power in the Pines," the two-day show and open house May 14 and 15.
"For over 53 years, members of the U.S. Army Parachute Team have been marking the milestones of achievement and evolution of excellence serving as the Army's only official demo team," the joint base announcement said.

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will headline this year's air show, performing aerial maneuvers in the F-16 Fighting Falcon jet.
Numerous other aircraft and flying demonstrations are also planned, the base said.
The show was not held in 2015, but the show has drawn hundreds of thousands of people in years past for the two-day event, where visitors can examine military aircraft and watch flying demonstrations.
