TRENTON - A Trenton man was arrested and charged in connection with a December shooting that hospitalized a man with gunshot wounds, police said Monday.
Naquan Bryant, 25, on Friday was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and weapons charges in connection with a Dec. 22 shooting on in the area of Hancock and Home avenues, Lt. James Slack said.
A 28-year-old man was walking on Hancock Avenue when The man told police he was walking in the area of Hancock and Home Avenue when he saw a black vehicle pull up, Lt. Stephen Varn said.
The man then heard a single gunshot and began running. Then he heard several more gunshots and realized he was hit, before collapsing on the 100 block of Hancock Street. He was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton with a gunshot wound to his stomach and to his lower right back. He was admitted for possible surgery, police have said.
Bryant was jailed in lieu of $100,000 cash bail, according to police records.
