Times of Trenton archives show Ross has been shot twice before on the streets of Trenton.
In December 2002, Ross was wounded in the leg in the same area of Trenton - the 100 block of Walnut Avenue - when a gunman fired seven shots at him, police said. At the time, he lived on North Stockton Street in Trenton.
And in August of 2004, Ross survived three bullets wounds to the abdomen and a wound to his leg during a confrontation in front of a bar on Bridge Street in South Trenton. Good Samaritans put Ross into a car and drove him to a city hospital.
Ross also has three prior convictions for firearms possession and drug dealing, records show. In 2008, he was sentenced to five years in prison.
The other shootings Friday and Saturday in the city included a 24-year-old man who was shot on Oakland Street at 8 p.m. Friday and two partygoers who were wounded when masked gunmen burst into an apartment on Prospect Street at 12:45 a.m. Saturday.
