TRENTON -- Authorities have identified the man shot on Rosemont Avenue who died the following day as Jovan Marino, a resident of the West Ward street.
Marino, 24, was shot in the 100 block of Rosemont Avenue at about 11:15 p.m. Friday. He died Saturday at a Trenton hospital.
Marino's death is under investigation by the Mercer County Homicide Task Force. The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office said Sunday the crime is under investigation and no arrests had been made.

Marino's death was the first homicide in Trenton in 2016 and occurred during a wave of violent Friday and Saturday in the city. Police responded to four shootings with five victims.
Trenton police officers responded to a shooting on Rosemont Avenue Friday night and arrived on the block to find the victim had already been driven to a hospital.
