Three adults along with two children – a 4-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl – were at home when a vehicle drove past and opened fire
TRENTON - Four people were charged with weapons offenses after firing a hail of bullets at a house with two young children inside, police said Monday.
Police responded to a call for shots fired on the 600 block of Lamberton Street around 5:58 p.m. Sunday. Three adults - a 28-year-old man and two women aged 21 and 30 - along with two children - a 4-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl - were at home when a vehicle drove past and opened fire, Lt Stephen Varn said.
No one was injured in the shooting, Varn said.
Police found the vehicle on Dickenson Street. Four people were inside where police found 2 handguns and narcotics, Varn said.
A Ruger, 9mm semi-automatic handgun was found, loaded with 12 rounds. Police also found a Glock, 40-caliber gun with an extended 29-round capacity magazine loaded with 16 bullets was between the passenger side rear seat and rear compartment, police said.
Soloman Fowler, 40, of Trenton; Michael Matthews, 20, of Trenton; Brooklyn Brooks, 19, of Trenton and Mack Williams, 25, of Ewing, were charged with aggravated assault and weapons possession offenses. Bail information was not immediately available, according to police records.
