Today's letters: on Iran Deal & Literacy New Jersey
With all due respect, I must disagree with the letter to the editor writer who believes that the Iranians are trustworthy and that the "nuke deal" will:
1. Dramatically shrink Iran's nuclear program, (Doubt this to be true-with over 100 billion dollars of sanction money being released to Iran with no strings attached. Iran's cheating history indicates that this money will be spent on nuclear, terrorism and military build up.)
2. Inspire Iran to allow inspections "anytime and anywhere", (This was promised by the Obama administration, but, is just not true! Inspections (if really allowed at all) must be pre-applied for, and will take a minimum of 24 more days to actually be inspected, and some places are totally off base for inspections. Add to that the possibility that Iran may be able to "self inspect." Wow, what a great deal and peace keeper that is.) Granted, no Americans want war ever, but if a war becomes inevitable would it be better sooner against a "weaker Iran" or later against a "nuclear powerful Iran"? Unfortunately, this "deal" does not preclude war at any time. Congresspersons - please vote "no" on the "nuke deal."

My name is Jingping Huang. I originally came from China. I have been here for four years. I could not speak one correct English sentence four years ago. But today, I can make a presentation in public using English. I can go shopping, to church, travel, and make new friends without much difficulty in terms of communications. Literacy New Jersey made this happened.
Three years ago, my friend told me to register in Literacy New Jersey to learn English. But I had to wait about three months for a tutor. Since I enrolled in this program, my English is getting better every day. It is a long and exciting journey.
The program helps me to learn English and improve my conversational skills, and open up my mind. I have learned many new words, idioms, and grammar. I also learn America culture, history, and daily life. The program provides one to one tutoring for students. The tutors give each student specific guidance, based on their English level.
Through this program, I also learn how to help others and how to make a contribution to our community. All of the teachers are volunteers and staffers are so kind. They helped me to open the next chapter of my life. More volunteers are needed, please sign up!
