Antoine A. Hamlin, 24, was arrested Sunday following a motor-vehicle stop on Route 130 near Kingsbridge Drive in Burlington Township.
BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP -- Police charged a Burlington City man with weapon and drug violations following a motor-vehicle stop on Route 130 in which officers found a stolen handgun, Burlington Township police said.
Antoine A. Hamlin, 24, was pulled over at about 1 a.m. Sunday near Kingsbridge Drive for traffic violations, police said.
When an officer approached the car, he allegedly smelled the odor of burnt marijuana coming from his car.
A search of the car then yielded a loaded .38-caliber handgun, a quantity of marijuana and a scale commonly used to weigh drugs, police said.
Hamlin is a convicted felon, records show, and in addition to firearm possession and drug possession charges, he also faces a charge of unlawfully possessing a weapon as a felon, police said.

The handgun was later found to have been reported stolen in North Carolina, police said.
Hamlin was initially lodged in the Burlington County jail in Mount Holly on $35,000 bail.
State records show Hamlin has separate felony convictions from 2014 for assault and drug charges in Burlington County, and was sentenced to probation earlier this year for each case.
