The Rose and Louis H. Linowitz Charitable Foundation, a longtime supporter of the Times Holiday Appeal, has stepped forward with a challenge to Times readers and area businesses and organizations this holiday season. The foundation has pledged to match the next $5,000 raised for this year's campaign for Christine's Hope for Kids.

Linowitz Charitable Foundation, a longtime supporter of the Times Holiday Appeal, has stepped forward with a challenge to Times readers and area businesses and organizations this holiday season. The foundation has pledged to match the next $5,000 raised for this year's campaign for Christine's Hope for Kids.
"We again want people to know that even a small donation can make a big difference, and will be doubled if they rise to the challenge," said Marc Linowitz, president and treasurer of the foundation.
The Rose and Louis H. Linowitz Charitable Foundation is dedicated to helping people, especially children, in the Trenton area. Along with the Times Holiday Appeal and Times-Kiwanis Camp Fund, the foundation has also supported HomeFront, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Kidsbridge and a Trenton Central High School scholarship program, among others.
This year's campaign has raised $14,303 so far, including $6,000 from NJM Insurance Group, which after its initial donation of $5,000 has pledged to donate an additional $1,000 for every $5,000 contributed by the community throughout the 2015 campaign.
Recent donations include a gift of $250 from Edward and Christina McManimon of Pennington.
Donations of $200 each were received from Barbara Morgan of Princeton and Anthony and Judith Persichilli of Pennington.
Constance G. Smith of Pennington sent $150.
Gifts of $100 each were received from Leigh Curry of Ewing, Michael Graziano of Pennington; and an anonymous donor from Yardville.
Sending $50 each were Karen Simmons of Hopewell and Rose Obinger of Princeton.
Sara Cooper and Mike Delehanty of Titusville also sent $50 with a note, "We are proud to support this wonderful foundation via The Times' great community tradition."
Sending $25 each were Robert Kecskes of Pennington, Sandy Smith of Lawrence, Richard Michal of Robbinsville, George Boccanfuso of Yardville, Bernard Massabrook of Cream Ridge and Robert Moriconi of Trenton.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Friedman of Ewing sent $10 and Rose Chianese of Florence also sent $10.
Anonymous donations also include $50 from Pennington, $50 from East Windsor and $25 from Trenton.
