TRENTON - Middle school students in Trenton who made honor roll were treated to a holiday luncheon at the upscale, contemporary, Trenton Wyndham Garden Hotel on Wednesday.
Brenda Henehan, director of sales & events at the Wyndham says they deserve it.
"This is their day to have a great day and enjoy themselves dancing and celebrating for the holiday," she said.
Deviating from some of the hotel's usual culinary offerings, Wyndham's chef prepared a banquet of kid favorites including chicken tenders, mozzarella stick and french fries.
In between trips to the buffet line, students danced to the music from Edward "DJ Eddie-Ed" Ward, a school district employee.

Derrell Sapp, a special education teacher at Martin Luther King Jr. School, wandered among the students dressed as Santa Claus, stopping to chat, pose for a photo and even tear it up with the students on the dance floor.
As an added bonus, students were treated to a visit from Trenton Fire Department's Ladder 4 and Engine 10 and were able to sit inside the fire engines and get a close up look at the fire apparatus.
