JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST -- Operation Homefront distributed holiday meals at Joint Base McGuire-Lakehurst-Dix on Tuesday, furthering its mission "to Build Strong, Stable and Secure Military Families."
Meal kits were presented to the families of service members and wounded warriors through the operations's annual Holiday Meals for Military program.
Base employees joined volunteers from Walmart and Lockheed Martin to give out approximately 250 meals.
Each meal kit includes all the grocery items necessary for a full holiday meal. Designer bags were provided by Thirty-One Gifts.
Other corporate partners included Beam-Suntory, CDW, Navy Federal Credit Union, and Ocean Spray.
The program included refreshments and a visit with Santa (aka Walmart manager Edwin Martinez).
