NJ Transit said there were delays of up to 30 minutes and service was briefly suspended at the Hamilton and Princeton Junctions
HAMILTON -- Trains on NJ Transit's Northeast Corridor line were delayed up to 30 minutes Saturday morning, after a man was struck and injured after failing to move off the tracks despite the engineer's warning.
The man was taken to Helene Fuld Hospital in Trenton for treatment of a head injury, after he was struck just west of the Hamilton Station platform at 9:25 a.m., said Jim Smith, a spokesman for NJ Transit. Train 7822 had left Trenton at 9:05 a.m., bound for New York Penn Station, Smith said.

About 300 passengers were put on another train to continue their trip to New York, he said, adding that no one on the train was hurt.
Service at othe Hamilton and Princeton Junction stations was suspended briefly after the accident, but restored.
Smith said the engineer blasted his whistle to warn the man, whom he characterized as a trespasser.
"He was on the tracks and made no attempt to move," Smith said.
