TRENTON - A Trenton man was indicted in the December shooting death of 39-year-old Patrick Walker, authorities said Thursday.
Anthony Concepcion, 23, was indicted Wednesday by a Mercer County grand jury on first degree murder and weapons charges stemming from the Dec. 13 killing, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office.
Police responded to the La Guira Bar on corner of North Clinton Avenue and Poplar Street around 2 a.m. and found Walker suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, where he was pronounced dead a short time later, prosecutors said.
U.S. Marshals found Concepcion in an Altamont Springs, Fla., hotel room on Jan. 9. He is jailed in lieu of $750,000 bail, prosecutors said.
Concepcion has served two prior state prison sentences on weapons convictions, according to state records. He was released from the most recent prison term in July, 2014.
Concepcion also has a pending weapons charge from a Sept. 30, 2014, drug arrest.
