TRENTON - A Trenton man was treated at a local hospital when a bullet from a drive-by shooter in the West Ward Thursday grazed his ear, police said.
The 24-year-old man was on the first block of Oak Lane shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday when a black car pulled up. The passenger door opened and a man pointed a gun, Lt. Stephen Varn said.
The man told police that the shooter said "Don't run,'' before he opened fire, Varn said.
The man ran and heard several shots, one hitting him in the ear, Varn said, before asking a resident to call police.
The man was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, where he was treated for his injuries, Varn said.
The shooting response team is investigating, Varn said.
