A Trenton man was shot in the back in the city early this morning, police said.
TRENTON -- A Trenton man was shot in the back as he walked on a city street early Saturday, city police said.
The 32-year-old man was on first block of Ewing Street at 12:54 a.m. when he heard several gunshots, Trenton Police Lt. Stephen Varn said. The man began to run and was struck once in the back, Varn said.
The man was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, where he was treated for a non-life-threatening injury, Varn said.
The police's Shooting Response Team is investigating the crime.
