City police will start closing some roads at 7 a.m. Saturday

TRENTON -- Parts of Route 29 and other streets around the capital city will be closed Saturday for the annual Trenton Half Marathon.

City police will start closing some roads at 7 a.m. Saturday, with the events wrapping up around 12:30 p.m.

The 13.1-mile course starts at Arm & Hammer Park, winds through the downtown and crosses the "Trenton Makes" bridge into Morrisville, Pennsylvania, before returning to Trenton.

Start times for the half-marathon and 10K are 8 a.m.

The race, now in its fourth year, will draw some 3,500 runners.

Following is a list of road closures:

• Route 29 northbound between Lamberton Street and Parkside Avenue, 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
• Route 29 southbound between Parkside Avenue and Lalor Street, 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
• Lalor Street at Centre Street, 7 to 11 a.m.
• Lalor Street at Lamberton Street, 7 to 11 a.m.
• Cass Street at Lamberton Street, 7 to 11 a.m.
• Calhoun Street at W. State Street, 7 to 11 a.m.
• W. State Street between Calhoun and N. Willow streets, 7 to 11 a.m.
• Barrack Street between W. State and W. Lafayette streets, 7 to 11 a.m.
• W. Lafayette Street between Barrack and S. Warren streets, 7 to 11 a.m.
• S. Warren Street between W. Lafayette and New Warren streets, 7 to 11 a.m.
• S. Warren and Market streets, 7 to 11 a.m.
• Market Street between Route 29 and Mercer Street, 7 to 11 a.m.
• Market and South Stockton streets, 7 to 11 a.m.
• Jackson and Mercer streets between Livingston Street and Greenwood Avenue, 7 to 11 a.m.
• New Warren Street between Shepherd and Bridge streets, 7 to 11 a.m.
• Bridge Street between New Warren and Union streets, 7 to 11 a.m.
• Union Street between Bridge and Ferry streets, 7 to 11 a.m.
