No one was injured in a fire that started around 8 a.m. Monday at 45 Cameron Ct. in Princeton.
PRINCETON - No one was injured in a two-alarm fire Monday morning that began in the basement of 45 Cameron Ct., fire officials said.
The owner of the house, Kevin McCarthy, said his 24-year-old son and 30-year old daughter were the only members of the family home at the time.
"No one was hurt," McCarthy said. "My son heard the alarms, ran downstairs and saw smoke getting heavier and heavier as he went near the basement."
McCarthy said his son and daughter safely made it out of the house and firefighters arrived shortly after.

Princeton Fire Department Director of Emergency Services Robert Gregory said the dispatchers arrived on the scene at 8:18 a.m. and had the fire under control a little after 9:30 a.m.
Gregory said the fire, which started in the utility room of the basement, collapsed the floor.
He said the cause of the fire is under investigation but they have to wait until an engineer comes to secure the floor before investigators can begin.
"We still have a long way to go," Gregory said.
He said some of the surrounding homes have smoke damage and residents were evacuated until firefighters access it is safe for them to reenter.
Along with Princeton Fire Department, Lawrenceville Fire Company, Hopewell Fire Department, Plainsboro Fire Company, Kingston Volunteer Fire Company and Montgomery Township Volunteer Fire Company also assisted, along with the Princeton Police Department.
