Police are searching for a man who exposed himself to a student on a towpath near Princeton University's campus Friday

PRINCETON - A man wearing a surgical mask and no pants approached a student on a towpath near Princeton University's campus Friday morning, according to police.

The Police Department issued an alert Friday after a 19-year-old student told officers the man exposed himself to her while she was sitting on a towpath bench near the south side of Carnegie Lake.

The student said the man, who looked around 6 ft. tall and 40-years-old, was wearing a beige, dirty surgical mask, sunglasses and a navy blue hooded sweatshirt, according to the alert. He was naked from the waist down.

The student told police the man walked north toward Plainsboro.

Police responded to the area but couldn't find the man. They urge anyone with information to call the Police Department at (609) 921-2100.
