Davonne Carmichael, 25, is charged with unlawful possession of a gun and certain persons not to have a weapon
TRENTON -- A Trenton man is facing weapon charges after police say he illegally had a loaded gun on him.
Davonne Carmichael, 25, is charged with unlawful possession of a gun and certain persons not to have a weapon. He also had Trenton and Lawrence warrants totaling $1,200.
Street Crime Unit detectives were patrolling the 100 block of Jersey Avenue just after midnight Monday when they saw Carmichael on a porch with two other men believed to be "engaged in illegal activity," said Lt. James Slack.
When police approached, Carmichael tried to hide a gun, Slack said. He was found to have a loaded .380-caliber semi-automatic handgun.
One of the other men, 23-year-old Keenan Kparway, had six warrants from Trenton, Hamilton and Burlington totaling $15,570.
