BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP -- Police arrested a township man shortly after he allegedly swiped $32,000 in electronics and jewelry from a Ward Avenue home Friday morning - including a hover board.
The resident called police at 9:36 a.m. and said he'd just returned home from running an errand and found his home burglarized, township police said
Officers found the burglary entered the home through a rear window.
Officers started searching the area and and located Edward Heaton, 29, in the area of building 3 in the nearby Southgate Apartments - where he lives. An on-scene investigation found Heaton was the alleged burglar, police said.
All of the victim's property was found in Heaton's residence, a large metal trash bin at the apartment complex and a wooded area next to the complex.
Heaton was charged with burglary and theft and lodged at the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.
Police said it was the second, daytime residential burglary in as many weeks.
Detectives are investigating a Sept. 14 burglary on Dunns Mill Road, but Heaton is not a suspect in that crime.
