Quashawn Emanuel, 18, and an unnamed 17-year-old were charged in the death of Lance Beckett
TRENTON -- Two Trenton teenagers have been charged in the killing of Lance Beckett, who was found shot to death in the city's West Ward Sunday.
Quashawn Emanuel, 18 Quashawn Emanuel, 18, and an unnamed 17-year-old are each facing murder and weapons charges, the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office said.
Beckett, 19, was found dead around 2:50 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of East Stuyvesant Avenue and Marion Street.
Witnesses told police he was shot multiple times before his head was stomped on.
Emanuel was arrested Thursday night on Monument Place, police dockets show. Bail was set at $1 million cash or bond and he is being held at the Mercer County Correction Center.
The juvenile was taken to the Middlesex County Youth Detention Center.
Beckett's death marked the city's 19th killing.
