The Ewing Sonic is the chain's first in Mercer County. Watch video
EWING -- Sonic opened their doors and their drive-in Thursday on North Olden Avenue, sending roller skating car hops gliding to and from vehicles all day.
NJ Advance Media staff photographer Michael Mancuso equipped a small video camera on Car Hop Lyndsey Godfrey's tray for an order. Take a look at her speedy delivery.
The drive-in is the chain's first in Mercer County. It's open 24 hours a day and offers a full menu all day at the stalls - with servers on skates - as well as indoor dining and drive-thru service.
Sonic Drive-Ins first opened in 1953 in Shawnee, Okla. under the name "Top Hat."
