UPDATE: 6 struck by gunfire within 12 minutes in Trenton
TRENTON -- Four people were wounded by gunfire in three separate shootings in Trenton Tuesday night, police said.
Trenton police confirmed they are investigating the shooting of a person in the area of South Clinton Avenue in East Trenton, which was followed by the shooting of two people on Middle Rose Street in North Trenton.
Shortly after those shootings, at about 9 p.m., a person was wounded in the area of Pennington Avenue, police said.
Additional details of the incidents were not immediately available as Trenton police detectives investigated Tuesday night.
The Tuesday shootings follow a weekend of crime in which three people were killed, three others wounded by gunfire and the stabbing of a man early Monday morning.
