The operator was injured while trying to connect the trailer to the cab of the tractor Tuesday morning
FLORENCE -- A forklift operator was seriously injured on the job Tuesday when he was pinned between the cab and trailer of a tractor-trailer, Florence police said.
Edward Noone, 56, of Delran, was rushed to a local trauma center Tuesday morning following the 8:30 a.m. incident, where he remained in serious condition Wednesday, Florence Police Capt. Brian Boldizar said.
Noone works as a forklift operator for International Paper, a paper distributing company on John Galt Way.
Boldizar said Noone was working to connect the trailer of a truck to its cab when he got caught between the two parts when they collided.
Police on Wednesday were still trying to figure out how exactly the incident occurred.
