Saedd Farraj set up a face painting station, gave out free hot dogs and offered discount haircuts during the business's opening Saturday
TRENTON -- Saedd Farraj has long wanted to open a barber shop in the city he's come to know and love for 20 years - and this past weekend the dream came true.
The grand opening of Royal Cuts - Farraj's barber shop on 505 Hamilton Ave. - drew a crowd of well-wishers throughout the day Saturday. He set up a face-painting station, handed out free hot dogs and - most importantly - offered discount haircuts to anyone who came by.
"I wanted to do something different in Trenton," Farraj said Saturday, adding that many barber shops charge upwards of $20 for a haircut. He plans to provide the neighborhood with a more affordable service.
