Keith Johnson is accused of sexually assaulting two teen girls when they were children and teens
TRENTON - A man accused of sexually assaulting two teenage girls multiple times had his bail reduced at a hearing Friday.
Keith Johnson, 37, appeared in court Friday a week after he was charged with four counts of sexual assault for the allegations. A judge reduced Johnson's bail from $300,000 cash to $250,000 cash.
Prosecutors discussed the case Saturday and said the girls - 13 and 14-years-old, respectively - knew Johnson and accused him of sexually assaulting them when they were children and again when they were teenagers. Prosecutors did not say where the alleged assaults occurred.
But Kathleen Repath-Perez, an attorney representing Johnson, said Friday that the allegations were false and stemmed from a disagreement the girls had with Johnson. She said the girls have accused another person they knew of sexual assault in the past.
Superior Court Judge Anthony Massi said Friday that he was disturbed by the allegations before he reduced the bail to $250,000 cash only.
