The 27-year-old Red Bank man worked for a Monmouth County nursery school and summer camp.
TRENTON - A federal grand jury indicted a former Monmouth County nursery school worker on Thursday on child pornography charges.
James Paroline, 27, of Red Bank, was initially arrested in July 2015 and charged with two counts of receiving child pornography over the Internet.
An indictment handed down by a federal grand jury on Thursday charged Paroline with one count of receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Newark, Paroline was employed as an assistant at a nursery school and as a summer camp counselor at a private school, both in Monmouth County.
Neither the school where Paroline works, nor the summer camp, which is also affiliated with a school, were identified in court papers.
Authorities said Paroline downloaded images and video from a website advertising child pornography. Using the IP address and username, authorities traced the activity back to Paroline's home, where they found pornographic images and video on his computer during a search, authorities said.
The images and video show sex acts between men and girls as young as 3, authorities also said.
If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
