TRENTON -- Detectives are investigating the shooting of a teenager who arrived at a city hospital Thursday evening with gunshot wounds to her chest and buttocks, Trenton police said.
Police believe the 18-year-old woman was wounded at West State Street at Atterbury Avenue in the city's West Ward, police spokesman Lt. Stephen Varn said.
The teen arrived at St. Francis Medical Center in the East Ward at about 6:10 p.m., Varn said.
The teen's medical condition was not known late Thursday.
The city's joint Shooting Response Team is investigating.
