A 60-year-old woman had been wounded in the leg in the June 6 shooting
SCRANTON, Pa. -- Federal marshals arrested a 24-year-old Trenton woman wanted for allegedly shooting a 60-year-old woman in June after tracking her to Pennsylvania.
An arrest warrant had been issued for Tanika Mack on a charge of aggravated assault with a firearm following the June 6 shooting on the 800 block of East State Street.
Police previously said the victim was involved in a verbal dispute with Mack, who pulled out a handgun and fired multiple shots and wounded the woman in the leg.
Police later learned that Mack may have fled to Pennsylvania and asked the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force for assistance.
Deputy marshals and task force members from the Scranton office arrested Mack on Friday morning at a home on the 5600 block of Pembrook Drive in Tobyhanna, Pa.
She was turned over to the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department to be charged as a fugitive from justice pending her extradition back to New Jersey.
