TRENTON -- Homicide investigators are probing the Saturday night shooting of a city man on Greenwood Avenue, even though the man is still alive, officials said Monday.
The victim, a 24-year-old, is in extremely critical condition at a Trenton hospital. He was shot in the head shortly before 9 p.m. as he stood in front of a house where a child's birthday party was ongoing, officials said
Investigators located surveillance video of a man walking down the street and firing a handgun indiscriminately in the direction of the house, and party, the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office said Monday.
The prosecutor's Homicide Task Force was called into the investigation due to the man's serious injury.
The prosecutor's office did not report any arrests. The investigation was ongoing Monday, the office said.
