TRENTON -- A male was shot in the 100 block of Cleveland Avenue Monday night, police said.
City police were dispatched to the block at about 8:10 p.m. and found a male with a gunshot wound to the stomach - not long after a torrential thunderstorm ripped through the city.
Police spokesman Lt. Stephen Varn said detectives are investigating robbery as a possible motive for the confrontation between the gunman and victim.
Trenton EMS took the man to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, police said.
No arrests had been made Monday night.
The city's joint Shooting Response Team is investigating.
Trenton police are investigating 10 nonfatal shootings that wounded 10 people in a seven-day period that ended Sunday.
