Hamilton animal shelter will host the "Clear the Shelters" initiative to find homes for its pets.
HAMILTON -- The township wants to clear out their animal shelter.
The Hamilton Township Animal Shelter will host an adoption event this Saturday, July 23, in an effort to find homes for its pets.
This is the second year that the shelter will hold a "Clear the Shelters" initiative.
Last year the event resulted in the adoption of 26 cats and dogs.
"The loving pets available for adoption at our township animal shelter could be ideal companions for many of our community's families," Hamilton Mayor Kelly Yaede said in a statement.
"I hope that many of our fellow residents will join us on July 23rd so that we can clear the shelter," Yaede said.
The shelter will once again partner with NBC 10 and Telemundo 62 for the event.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the shelter, 2100 Sylvan Ave., Hamilton, N.J. 08610.
