PRINCETON - Police are investigating the third report of a sexual assault in the town in the past three weeks.
File photo. The most recent incident involved a girl and and a boy - both under 18-years-old - who knew each other, police said in a statement. They did not give a date for the assault, but claimed it happened on Green Street in Princeton between December, 2015 and June, 2016.
It was reported Saturday morning.
The incident was the third sexual assault report police have received in as many weeks. They were not available for comment Tuesday afternoon.
In one incident last week, an 18-year-old woman told police she was sexually assaulted at a home on Meetinghouse Court on July 4. No one has been charged in connection with the incident.
Another was in late June when a woman told police she woke up to a man sexually assaulting her in her home on Birch Avenue. Pedro Arias-Santiago, 26, was arrested the same day.
Police have said they do not think there is a connection between the July 4 and the June incidents.
