Police were unable to find the bear.
PRINCETON - A bear was seen near the intersection of Herrontown and Autumn Hill roads in Princeton on Monday - the second sighting in the town in three days.
Princeton police were unable to locate the bear after being notified by a resident. An alert was issued to community members just before 11 a.m.
Another bear -- possibly the same one -- was seen in Herrontown Woods on Saturday.
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Division of Fish and Wildlife reminds residents that black bears are attracted by odors of food. Controlling these odors can help prevent black bears from being attracted to people's property.
