The man was in stable condition Tuesday
TRENTON -- A 29-year-old man is in stable condition Tuesday after he was shot in the leg outside a Trenton housing complex.
Police Lt. Stephen Varn said a call was received at 6:12 p.m. saying multiple shots were fired in the area of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Southard Street outside Donnelly Homes.
The man told police that he was walking on MLK Boulevard when he heard several shots and then realized that he had been hit, Varn said.
He was picked up by a passer-by and brought to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, where he remains in stable condition with several gunshot wounds to his leg.
The victim didn't see who shot him or from which direction the shots came, Varn said.
The shooting remains under investigation by the Shooting Response Team.
