Onlookers say they could see and smell the body inside the vehicle.
TRENTON -- Authorities are investigating a body that was found in a vehicle on the 200 block of North Montgomery Street in Trenton Thursday.
Police say Trenton Fire Department personnel were alerted to a body in a vehicle at the corner of Montgomery and Olive streets at about 1 p.m.
Nearby observers said they could see - and smell - the body in the car before authorities arrived.
Police said the body was badly decomposed.
The Mercer County Homicide Task Force is looking into the matter until a cause and manner of death can be confirmed.
