Police arrested Wilson George, 19, on unlawful possession of a gun and drug charges.
TRENTON -- A third man who police say fled officers responding to the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old has been arrested.
Days after arresting two others, police issued a warrant for 19-year-old Wilson George on weapons offenses, police spokesman Lt. Stephen Varn said.
After Maurice Wimbush-Jalaah was shot outside the Prospect Village housing project Saturday, police saw three males running from the scene.
Jashawn Smith and Juprie Wadley, both 18, ran from the scene and were apprehended nearby at gunpoint. Police said they had guns in their hands.
After Smith and Wadley were arrested, detectives found a third handgun on Louise Lane.
Police later identified George as the third suspect and officers found him late Tuesday on the 100 block of Passaic Street with a juvenile, Varn said.
The 17-year-old had 50 decks of heroin and $230 of suspected narcotics proceeds. Police took George into custody and when they returned to the police station, 50 decks of heroin fell out of his pants, Varn said.
George has been charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of CDS and intent to distribute within 500 feet of a park and 1,000 feet of a school.
Wimbush-Jalaah's killing is still under investigation and the three teen suspects who ran from the scene have not been charged in connection with the crime.
