TRENTON -- A 27-year-old man died of stab wounds at a city hospital Tuesday morning, hours after police found him wounded at a Chambersburg intersection, authorities said.
Carlos Leiva-Oviedo died at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton at about 7 a.m., the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office said.
Trenton police officers found Leiva-Oviedo shortly after responding to a report of a male bleeding at about 3 a.m. at Hudson and Genesee streets. He was collapsed near his car on Hudson Street, the prosecutor's office said.
Leiva-Oviedo lived on Genesee Street.
The Mercer County Homicide Task Force is investigating his death. Investigators had an area of the intersection blocked off until late Tuesday, with several evidence markers placed in the street.
No arrests or charges have been announced in the case.
