No charges have been filed in the assault, which a woman claims happened Sunday morning
PRINCETON - A man accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a Princeton University dorm during reunion week knew the alleged victim, the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office said Tuesday.
No charges have been filed and investigators are still interviewing the man and woman involved.
But the prosecutor's office did say the two knew each other and that the 22-year-old woman was not a Princeton University student or alumna. She was visiting the campus for the annual reunions week that ended Sunday.
Police investigate sex assault report
They declined to give any information on the accused attacker.
The investigation was launched after the woman filed a report Sunday saying that the man sexually assaulted her at Spelman Hall around 2 a.m.
She said the man was black, around 5-feet, 8-inches tall and weighed about 170 pounds.
Spelman Hall is a dorm room for undergraduate students that sits between University Place and Pyne Drive.
